The Obama marriage may be crumbling behind closed doors — and Michelle Obama’s latest swipe at her husband’s past financial failures is raising serious red flags.

In a stunning admission on her podcast, the former First Lady didn’t hold back when asked if she could ever fall for a man who wasn’t financially secure.

Her answer? “Uh, I married one.”

That biting comment — made in a casual tone but packing serious heat — has set off a media firestorm, especially as whispers of a $70 million divorce swirl around the once untouchable Obama power couple.

Michelle, now 61, sat down with her brother Craig Robinson on her podcast “The Light” and answered questions from British life coach Jay Shetty. When the topic turned to love and money, Michelle didn’t mince words.

“I left my corporate firm when I met Barack,” she said. “I had somebody who said, ‘I got your back.’ But I was the one holding it down financially.”

Barack Obama, then a law student with political dreams but no real money to his name, met Michelle in 1988 while clerking at a Chicago law firm. She was already a rising legal star.

“She basically bankrolled the early Obama years,” a political insider told us. “And she’s never forgotten it.”

The Obamas, married since 1992, are now rumored to be quietly dividing their fortune — including three luxury properties and a reported $25+ million in stock and investments.

Sources tell us the two are already deep in negotiations to “iron everything out before going public.”

“They don’t want an ugly, public fight,” a source close to the couple revealed. “But Michelle is drawing battle lines — and reminding people who held the purse strings early on.”

The former First Lady’s comments, according to insiders, are a not-so-subtle attempt to lay the groundwork for a high-stakes financial showdown.

The couple’s real estate empire includes a $12M estate in Martha’s Vineyard, a Washington, D.C. mansion near the White House, and a luxury Chicago residence tied to their roots.

The Obamas also inked a multi-million-dollar Netflix deal and book contracts rumored to be worth north of $60M. Sources say Michelle wants her “fair share” — and isn’t planning to go quietly.

This isn’t the first time Michelle has publicly aired grievances about her marriage.

“Being married to the president of the United States? No one signs up for that,” she said in an earlier podcast episode. “We knew Barack was ambitious, but come on…”

Insiders say Michelle never wanted Barack to run for president — and only changed her mind after pressure from her brother Craig.

“You talked me into supporting his run,” she told Craig. “I was definitely like, no. No way.”

Neither Michelle nor Barack has commented on the mounting divorce speculation. But the public digs, the quiet asset division, and the simmering resentment all point in one direction: The Obama marriage may be reaching its final chapter.

As one D.C. insider bluntly put it: “This is not just pillow talk — this is the prelude to war.”

Stay tuned as we continue to track the Obamas’ crumbling empire — and whether Michelle is ready to step out solo with her own political ambitions in mind.

  1. THE OBAMAS ARE NOT IMPORTANT TO AMERICA..WE DONT CARE THEY CAN TAKE THEIR ANTI AMERICAN ASS TO BELIZE AND STAY THERE.

  2. A Republican for sure. I wish Barack was im the White House right now instead of Elonald and their band of merry men. And no one ever heard of Michelle until she was married to the President, No one even knew her before her husband took her to Washington. Her popularity is a direct result of her husband. While she dogs him she should step back and realize she would be a nobody if not for Barack.
