Feminist Movement Glorifies Poisoning Men After Trump’s Victory

Some liberal women, furious over Trump’s re-election and fearful of his administration’s potential impact on abortion rights, have launched a chilling “MATGA” campaign—an acronym for “Make Aqua Tofana Great Again.”

This movement, a twisted riff on Trump’s iconic “Make America Great Again” slogan, glorifies fantasies of poisoning men. Videos posted on platforms like TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) are racking up millions of views, as young women film themselves mimicking poison-making rituals and sinister gestures.

The name “Aqua Tofana” refers to a notorious 17th-century Italian poisoner, Giulia Tofana, who reportedly helped over 600 women murder their husbands using her infamous concoction. Tofana’s poison was a deadly blend of arsenic and belladonna, said to be tasteless and undetectable even after death. Disguised in cosmetic bottles, it became the ultimate tool for stealthy assassinations.

One viral video features a young woman with bright green hair, a camo hat worn backward, and a large spiked septum ring. As she drags her thumb across her neck in a mock throat-slitting motion, text superimposed on the screen reads, “Aqua Tofana isn’t that hard to make.”

Another clip, playing Eminem’s intense track Venom in the background, captures the lyrics, “This f–king world better prepare to get laced because they’re gonna taste my venom,” as the soundtrack to murder fantasies.

Some women aren’t stopping at referencing historical poisons. Others proudly display “poison rings,” jewelry pieces with secret compartments for toxins. In one video, a woman flips open her poison ring, smirking at the camera with the caption, “My advice for American women… They asked for it.” The intent is unmistakable.

But not everyone is onboard with this shocking behavior. One TikTok user posted a cautionary clip, warning fellow participants. “You do know those videos can be used against you, right?” she asks. “It’s giving off premeditated vibes. The internet is FOREVER.” Her message serves as a sobering reminder of modern forensic advancements compared to the 1600s.

Despite these warnings, many liberal women are documenting their grievances in increasingly radical ways. Shaving their heads, declaring sex strikes against men, and vowing not to get pregnant are just a few of the acts of resistance against Trump’s second term. The protests stem from fears that Trump will embolden anti-abortion legislation, even though the president has repeatedly vowed to veto a federal abortion ban.

Critics of the MATGA movement are sounding alarms, accusing these videos of inciting dangerous fantasies that cross a moral line.
