Prince Harry ‘Trying to Burn Palace Down’ After Royal Exit

Prince Harry is facing a fresh wave of criticism over his bitter split from the Royal Family, with critics accusing the Duke of Sussex of turning his personal pain into a public weapon against the monarchy.

Harry, 41, and wife Meghan Markle, 45, walked away from their roles as senior working royals in early 2020, eventually settling in the United States and building a new life outside the Palace.

But their royal exit was only the beginning of a family feud that has played out in spectacular fashion on television, streaming services and bookstore shelves.

Since leaving Britain, Harry and Meghan have made a series of explosive allegations about life inside the monarchy, including during their blockbuster 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, their Netflix docuseries and Harry’s tell-all memoir, Spare.

Now, one royal source claims the constant stream of revelations has made any hope of repairing Harry’s relationship with his relatives even more difficult.

“There is a feeling that Harry has repeatedly taken deeply personal pain and placed it into the public arena – and every interview or revelation has made repairing those family relationships more difficult,” the source told RadarOnline.com.

“The criticism now is that private hurt has become part of a very public battle.”

Royal commentator Sarah Vine went even further while discussing what she described as years of drama surrounding Harry and Meghan.

Vine accused the couple of displaying a “weapons-grade sense of entitlement” and suggested they have become so consumed by their own grievances that they no longer recognize how privileged their lives remain.

Her harshest criticism, however, was aimed directly at Harry.

“At a time when the Royal Family needed Harry most, he not only slammed the door in their face, but he also tried to burn the place down on the way out,” Vine said.

She argued that Harry has every right to feel hurt by what happened during his years inside the monarchy, but claimed publicly “weaponizing” that pain has only prolonged the family’s misery.

Another royal insider similarly claimed that Harry’s decision to repeatedly discuss private disputes remains one of the biggest obstacles between him and his relatives.

“Harry has been clear that he believed speaking publicly was necessary, but critics inside the royal orbit see those disclosures very differently,” the source said.

“Their view is that repeatedly airing grievances has prolonged the dispute rather than allowing wounds on either side to heal.”

The tensions became impossible to ignore following Harry and Meghan’s March 2021 interview with Oprah.

During the bombshell sit-down, Harry claimed he had once felt trapped inside royal life — and suggested his father and older brother were trapped as well.

“I was trapped, but I didn’t know I was trapped,” Harry said at the time. “My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave. And I have huge compassion for that.”

The couple later revealed even more about their royal experience in their Netflix series, while Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare exposed deeply personal details about his relationships with King Charles and Prince William.

In the book, Harry described explosive disputes with William and offered an unusually intimate look at the tensions that had been building behind Palace walls.

The Royal Family has generally resisted publicly responding point-by-point to Harry and Meghan’s accusations.

But years after the Sussexes packed their bags and headed for America, the fallout from their departure continues to follow the family.

And with Harry’s relationship with both his father and brother still under intense scrutiny, critics say the biggest question is whether the damage caused by years of public revelations can ever truly be repaired.
