Kate Middleton has reportedly had enough of the royal drama — and insiders claim the future queen is no longer interested in playing peacemaker between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the rest of the Royal Family.
According to palace sources, the Princess of Wales has “completely killed off” the idea of any warm summer reunion with the Sussexes as tensions inside the monarchy continue to boil behind closed doors.
The reported breaking point? Harry and Meghan’s increasingly “royal-style” appearances overseas — despite stepping away from official royal duties years ago.
Sources close to the palace claim Kate, 44, has grown deeply frustrated watching the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to cash in on their royal image while publicly criticizing the institution they left behind.
For years, Kate was seen as one of the few senior royals still quietly hoping for peace between Prince William and his younger brother. Insiders say she spent a long time trying to avoid further family fractures and believed there was still a chance relationships could heal.
But now, according to sources, that optimism has disappeared.
“Kate feels completely drained by it all,” one insider claimed. “Every public appearance, every carefully staged overseas tour, every headline seems to deepen the divide rather than repair it.”
The latest tension reportedly centers around Harry and Meghan’s planned return to the UK this July for an Invictus Games-related event. The trip would mark Meghan’s first visit back to Britain in four years after the couple famously quit royal life in 2020 and moved to California.
While Harry is said to be hoping the visit could open the door to reconnecting with his father King Charles and possibly repair some family ties, insiders claim Prince William remains firmly against welcoming his brother back into the fold.
And now Kate reportedly agrees.
Royal insiders claim the Princess of Wales has become especially irritated by what palace figures allegedly view as “faux royal tours” carried out by Harry and Meghan during international appearances.
The Sussexes recently faced scrutiny after blending charity work with high-profile public appearances during their Australia trip — something critics inside royal circles reportedly viewed as an attempt to recreate the image of official royal engagements while no longer representing the Crown.
According to insiders, Kate takes her role inside the monarchy extremely seriously and believes royal titles should come with “duty, restraint and respect,” not celebrity branding opportunities.
“There’s a growing feeling inside palace walls that Meghan still heavily trades on her royal status whenever it benefits her image,” one source claimed. “That has become deeply uncomfortable for senior royals.”
Sources also allege Kate now views many of the Sussexes’ headline-making moves as intentionally provocative toward the Royal Family.
“She tried for years not to judge Meghan too harshly,” an insider said. “But eventually she started feeling like certain lines were being crossed on purpose.”
The reported fallout comes after years of public attacks and explosive revelations from Harry and Meghan, including bombshell interviews, Netflix documentaries and Harry’s bestselling memoir Spare, which sent shockwaves through the monarchy.
Harry last reportedly met privately with King Charles in September 2025 during a brief visit that insiders claimed lasted less than an hour.
Now, despite hopes for reconciliation, palace sources say the divide between the brothers may be deeper than ever — and Kate Middleton is no longer standing in the middle trying to fix it.
