Barron Trump may be the quietest member of America’s most famous political family — but behind the scenes, the president’s youngest son is reportedly sitting on a staggering fortune.
The 20-year-old college student is now believed to be worth roughly $150 million, according to a Forbes estimate, potentially putting him well ahead of his mother, First Lady Melania Trump.
And much of Barron’s eye-popping wealth appears to be tied to one of the Trump family’s biggest new money-making ventures: cryptocurrency.
Barron reportedly played an early role in encouraging his older brothers, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, to get involved with World Liberty Financial, the cryptocurrency venture launched in 2024.
President Donald Trump even joked about his youngest son’s crypto knowledge during the company’s rollout.
“He’s got four wallets or something, and I’m saying, ‘What is a wallet?’” Trump said at the time.
But Barron apparently knew exactly what he was doing.
Forbes estimated that Barron has already made around $80 million from token sales and could hold approximately $2.3 billion worth of locked-up tokens.
Those tokens cannot currently be cashed out at their full theoretical value, but if they eventually become available and retain significant value, Forbes reported Barron’s personal fortune could soar far beyond where it stands today.
One source previously described Barron as determined to build a business identity of his own.
“Barron has inherited his father’s interest in making money and a name for himself,” the insider claimed, describing him as “smart, focused, and resourceful.”
The source said Barron is constantly looking for new opportunities and has developed a serious interest in business despite his young age.
While Barron was born into extraordinary wealth and privilege, the source claimed he doesn’t simply want to live off the Trump name.
“He wants to engage with projects that not only interest him, but will make him a lot of money,” the insider said.
The source added that Barron wants to impress both of his parents while proving he can create something for himself.
“He wants to make his own mark,” the insider claimed.
If current estimates are accurate, he may already be doing exactly that.
Melania Trump is reportedly worth around $70 million — less than half of Barron’s estimated fortune.
Forbes previously reported that the First Lady has earned roughly $20 million through ventures including books, speaking engagements and a documentary.
Melania also jumped into the cryptocurrency craze herself by launching a memecoin.
At one point, the token reportedly carried a market capitalization of less than $200 million.
Like Barron, Melania has remained largely out of the spotlight throughout 2026.
The 56-year-old First Lady has reportedly made only about 16 public appearances this year, yet her limited schedule has still been highly lucrative.
She has reportedly earned just under $18 million despite maintaining a noticeably lower profile than previous first ladies.
Her absences have repeatedly fueled questions about how she chooses to spend her time.
Melania skipped several major events, including the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner and Lindsey Graham’s funeral service.
Journalist Joanna Coles openly questioned Melania’s unusually private schedule during an appearance on the Inside Trump’s Head podcast.
“It’s very odd that she’s missing,” Coles said, adding that she enjoys seeing the famously stylish First Lady when she does appear publicly.
“What is she doing? What does she do with all her time?” Coles asked.
As impressive as Barron and Melania’s reported fortunes may be, neither comes close to President Trump.
The 80-year-old president is estimated to be worth roughly $7.3 billion.
Trump’s certified annual financial disclosure also showed enormous income from his sprawling business interests, including a major windfall connected to cryptocurrency.
His crypto ventures have reportedly generated billions of dollars in additional wealth.
That enormous financial success has also brought scrutiny over potential conflicts involving a sitting president whose family remains deeply involved in private business.
Trump has insisted that he does not personally manage his investments.
Speaking to reporters before boarding the new Air Force One last month, Trump said his assets are handled through what he described as a “blind account.”
“They take it, and I purposely, I never speak to any of the people that run the money,” Trump said. “They’re at big institutions, and they invest in whatever they invest.”
For Barron, meanwhile, the remarkable numbers suggest the youngest Trump may be quietly emerging as one of the family’s most successful next-generation businessmen.
He may rarely make headlines himself — but if the estimates surrounding his crypto holdings prove accurate, Barron Trump could be sitting on a fortune that gets much bigger.
