Prince Harry and Meghan May Lose Titles After Andrew’s Arrest

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be facing a dramatic royal reckoning as King Charles reportedly considers major changes to the monarchy in the wake of Prince Andrew’s arrest tied to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

Sources claim the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — who stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020 and now live in California with their two children — may be swept up in what insiders describe as a sweeping “reset” of the royal family.

Andrew, 66, was taken into custody last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office related to his historic association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Detectives are said to be reviewing connections stretching back more than a decade.

Now, the fallout may stretch beyond Andrew alone.

Royal biographer Andrew Lownie said the crisis could force the monarchy to confront long-simmering questions about transparency and accountability. He suggested reforms might include stripping titles from anyone who is not actively serving in an official royal capacity.

“There needs to be more transparency about records and finances,” Lownie said, adding that the institution may address “the Andrew and Harry problem at the same time.”

Behind palace walls, major moves are reportedly already underway. King Charles is said to have instructed staff to turn over internal documents — informally dubbed the “Andrew files” — to investigators.

That decision has sparked anxiety among former palace insiders, some of whom fear past decisions made during Queen Elizabeth II’s reign could now face scrutiny.

Under one possible reform plan, royal titles and privileges would be reserved strictly for active, working members of the family.

That could put Harry and Meghan’s Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles under review.
