The 80-year-old widow of Elvis has reportedly been hitting the road for low-rent meet-and-greet events in a bid to wipe out a massive tax debt, leaving insiders worried she’s pushing herself too hard.
At a recent stop in Carteret, New Jersey, promoting her memoir Softly As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, attendees were shocked by how few people showed up. “There were so many empty seats — maybe 100 people at most,” one fan said after paying $117 for a ticket. “She looked tired. Behind the scenes, things aren’t much brighter. I can’t image how much of Lisa’s child support went to her lifestyle not her child. She knew what she was doing when she married Elvis. She is a money digger right out.
