The country music world is reeling after the death of Criscilla Anderson, the beloved Country Ever After star and dance choreographer, who passed away at 45 following a brave fight with colon cancer.

Criscilla, who shared four children with country singer Coffey Anderson, left behind a message so moving it’s bringing fans to tears. In her final note, shared by her longtime choreographer and close friend, she wrote:

“If you’re reading this, I’ve finally slipped into the arms of Jesus — peacefully and surrounded by love. Please don’t stay in the darkness of this moment. I fought hard, and I loved deeply. I am not gone… I’m Home.”

The touching letter was posted to Instagram by her friend, who described being with Criscilla “until the very end” as “the greatest honor” of her life.

Criscilla’s words to her children were especially gut-wrenching:

“Ethan, you made me a mom. Savannah, my bonus girl — you were a gift God knew I needed. Emmarie, my Jesus-loving dancer — keep dancing through every season. Everleigh, my bright spark — chase your dreams boldly and without fear.”

She ended with a final, heart-melting goodbye:

“When a moment feels warm, familiar, or too beautiful to be coincidence — that’s me. I’m still mothering you. I’m still yours. #everybutterfly”

Criscilla also thanked her circle of women who stood by her during treatments, her family who loved her unconditionally, and even her photographer friend, writing, “No more Photoshop, sis — Jesus just gave this girl wings!”

The Texas-born choreographer and reality star became a fan favorite when she appeared alongside Coffey and their kids on the 2020 Netflix series Country Ever After, which chronicled her cancer journey with remarkable honesty.

Before her illness, Criscilla danced with some of the biggest names in music — from Rihanna and Snoop Dogg to Britney Spears — and even choreographed for the iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Friends and fans across the country are flooding social media with tributes to her faith, resilience, and radiant spirit.

Her final words say it best:

“Be gentle with each other. Hold my children close. And remember: heaven isn’t as far away as it feels. I love you all. Always.”
