Robert De Niro’s relationship may be hitting the rocks — and it’s not because of Hollywood drama, but because of his nonstop hustle.
The 82-year-old Oscar legend is working around the clock on film shoots, political appearances, and a jaw-dropping $250 million luxury resort in Barbuda — and insiders say it’s starting to wear thin on his 46-year-old girlfriend, Tiffany Chen.
“Robert’s up before sunrise, running from meetings to movie sets. He’s obsessed with his projects,” one source spilled. “Tiffany barely sees him these days. She loves him, but he’s glued to his phone or his business partners — not her.”
The couple’s story began on the set of The Intern in 2015, where Tiffany played De Niro’s tai chi instructor. They went public in 2021 and welcomed daughter Gia in April 2023 — De Niro’s seventh child. While friends say he adores his little girl, Tiffany reportedly handles most of the parenting while the Hollywood icon juggles investments and new roles.
Recently, De Niro made headlines for his surprise cameo on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as a fictional FCC chairman — and for doubling down on his fiery comments about President Donald Trump. But back home, his partner’s patience is reportedly wearing thin.
“She’s proud of his drive,” the insider added. “But it’s a turnoff when your man’s more interested in real estate deals than romance.”
Whether the couple can find balance between De Niro’s empire-building and Tiffany’s need for connection remains to be seen — but as one friend put it, “She’s quietly fuming, and he’s too distracted to notice.”
