“Dancing With the Stars” season 34 contestant Dylan Efron had a scary end to his rehearsal week — but his response has fans calling him the “nicest guy in Hollywood.”
The younger brother of actor Zac Efron was rushed to the hospital late Friday night after taking an accidental elbow to the face from his pro dance partner Daniella Karagach during practice.
“It’s midnight and I’m at the hospital because Dani broke my nose,” Dylan said in a video from his hospital bed, still smiling through the pain. “We were trying a new move, and I took an elbow right here. It made a really loud crack. Not how I wanted to end rehearsal, but we’ll be back dancing tomorrow.”
Despite the painful injury, Dylan assured fans he was okay — and even made light of the accident. “Broke my nose, but don’t need it to dance,” he captioned the post. “I’m all good — but I’ll never forget how Dani, Pasha, and Danielle wouldn’t leave my side. Warms my heart to have friends like them.”
Karagach, who’s married to fellow DWTS pro Pasha Pashkov, often practices alongside him and his celebrity partner, Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel — both of whom were with Dylan when the accident happened.
Cast and Fans Send Love
The comment section quickly filled with love and laughter from the DWTS cast. Boston Rob Mariano joked, “Keep him in line, @daniellakaragach ❤️.” Pro dancer Emma Slater wrote, “WHAT?!! @dylanefron hope you’re ok!” while Valentin Chmerkovskiy simply said, “Oh em gee.” Season 33 winner Joey Graziadei added, “Hope you are all good brother!”
Fans were just as supportive. “He’s ALWAYS smiling, even sitting in the hospital with a broken nose,” one wrote. Another said, “Dylan, you’ve got the heart of a champion. A little setback can’t stop a star like you!”
Still in the Running
Even with a busted nose, Dylan isn’t slowing down. He and Daniella have quietly become one of this season’s most surprising duos, averaging 7.6 out of 10 from the judges and consistently landing near the top of the leaderboard.
His upbeat attitude and resilience have only boosted his fan-favorite status — and now, more viewers than ever are rooting for him to dance all the way to the finale.
Looks like nothing — not even a broken nose — can stop Dylan Efron from chasing that mirrorball trophy.
