Shame, silence, and scandal: A new book paints a disturbing portrait of the disgraced royal’s early years
A new royal biography is making waves across the globe — and it’s dredging up painful and deeply troubling details about Prince Andrew’s early life that many in the palace would rather keep buried.
According to historian Andrew Lownie’s just-released book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, Prince Andrew’s complex—and at times scandalous—relationship with women began much earlier than anyone ever imagined. The author claims the disgraced Duke of York began engaging in sexual activity when he was just 11 years old.
But perhaps the most chilling revelation? The woman involved has allegedly vowed never to reveal her identity — consumed by what sources call “total shame” over being linked to Andrew, especially given his later behavior.
“She wants no part in this story,” a source close to the book’s research told reporters. “She considers it a humiliating chapter in her life that she’s carried in silence for decades.”
Prince Andrew, now 65, earned the nickname “Randy Andy” in the 1980s for his lavish lifestyle and long list of romantic entanglements. But Lownie’s book argues that Andrew’s fixation on sex and power may have stemmed from his childhood — and early exposure to adult experiences.
The biography claims that Andrew boasted of having slept with multiple girls before he even reached his teenage years. By age 13, Lownie says, Andrew was already discussing sexual conquests with his peers.
“It may well be the root of Andrew’s problems,” one palace insider said. “He was raised without proper boundaries, which left him vulnerable to making some very risky decisions later in life.”
The book doesn’t stop at Andrew’s youth. Lownie also explores the Duke’s infamously close relationship with disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
According to the author, Andrew’s connection with Epstein was “far deeper and more financially motivated” than the public was led to believe.
And while Andrew has denied all allegations surrounding his association with Epstein’s sex trafficking network, the stain on his reputation remains. In 2022, he reached a multimillion-dollar settlement with Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexually abusing her when she was a teenager — a claim he has consistently denied and that has never been tested in court.
Tragically, Giuffre took her own life earlier this year. Her family has said the years of trauma and public scrutiny became unbearable.
Despite the growing number of disturbing claims, Buckingham Palace has remained silent. Prince Andrew himself has yet to address the contents of the new book.
Lownie calls Entitled “the most devastating royal biography ever written,” a portrait of a man shaped by “childhood trauma, unchecked privilege, lust, and layers of denial within the monarchy.”
The book even claims Andrew had multiple affairs during his marriage to Sarah Ferguson, adding another chapter to his well-documented fall from grace.
Whether or not more people come forward or the palace ever responds, the message of this book is clear — Prince Andrew’s fall from royal favor was not sudden. It was decades in the making.
“He’s a man who lost his way early,” said one insider. “And sadly, it seems he never found it again.”
