Royal drama alert: Prince Andrew is allegedly fuming over claims that his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, once had the hots for none other than golf legend Tiger Woods.
According to the bombshell new book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York by royal biographer Andrew Lownie, Fergie was “gagging” to bed the golf superstar — and Andrew is not taking the gossip well.
Insiders say the Duke of York is “seething” after learning that Sarah, 65, may have once flown across the country just to meet Tiger, whom she reportedly described as “gorgeous.” That little detail, along with other eyebrow-raising revelations from her post-divorce dating wishlist — which allegedly included John F. Kennedy Jr., Kevin Costner, and George Clooney — has left Andrew feeling humiliated.
“He’s always tried to laugh off Sarah’s antics,” one source dished, “but the Tiger Woods stuff? That one cuts deep. He feels it makes both of them look ridiculous.”
The book even quotes Sarah telling TV host Piers Morgan she might “follow Woods around the course for a bit and see how I get on.” She later publicly congratulated him on Instagram after his 2019 Masters win, gushing: “Never have I been more proud… Tiger’s heart is loyal, steadfast and he is an amazing friend.”
Ouch.
One of Ferguson’s close pals has since pushed back, insisting the story is being blown out of proportion.
“Sarah’s always been playful — that’s her nature. But to say she seriously pursued Tiger is just wrong,” the friend explained. “She admires him as a sportsman, but that’s all it ever was.”
Still, the gossip apparently has Prince Andrew rattled. Sources say he’s already under pressure over other scandals and isn’t thrilled to be dragged into fresh headlines about his ex’s past flings.
“He’s sick of being the punchline,” one royal insider said. “He’s absolutely furious.”
And this isn’t the first time Fergie’s romantic interests have stirred up palace tension. The book also claims she went into a rage after learning Princess Diana had met JFK Jr., allegedly snapping, “He’s mine! Why can’t she just leave him alone?”
If that weren’t enough, the biography alleges that Sarah once bombarded Kevin Costner with racy calls and tried to cozy up to George Clooney. Yikes.
Despite divorcing in 1996, Sarah and Andrew still live together at Royal Lodge in Windsor. But if the tea in this book is even half-true, things might be getting a little awkward under that roof.
And while Andrew’s own scandals have dominated headlines in recent years, it seems a little harmless Fergie flirtation is what really gets under his skin.
