Jack Nicholson’s world has been rocked by a family scandal that’s sending shockwaves through Hollywood.

The 88-year-old screen legend is said to be “devastated” after his grandson, Sean Knight Nicholson, 29, was arrested on shocking domestic violence charges — and now the fiercely private actor may be forced out of seclusion to support him.

According to police, Sean — who also goes by Sean Norfleet — allegedly threatened his ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Lawlor, 28, saying he’d kill himself if she refused to come over.

When she arrived at his Los Angeles apartment, a violent altercation erupted. Investigators say Sean grabbed Elizabeth by the neck and head before slamming her into a hard surface, leaving her unconscious and missing part of a front tooth.

Sean, the son of Jack’s daughter Jennifer and her ex-husband Mark Norfleet, was arrested on August 5 and charged with felony “corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.” He was later released on $50,000 bond.

Elizabeth told police Sean has battled substance abuse for years and has allegedly been diagnosed with schizophrenia, making the incident even more tragic.

Sources close to the Nicholson family describe Jack as “heartbroken” over the ordeal. “Sean is Jack’s first grandchild and they’re extremely close,” one insider revealed. “This has completely knocked the wind out of him. He’s already vowed to do whatever it takes to help Sean.”

Despite living almost entirely out of the public eye in recent years, Jack may make a rare public appearance to stand by Sean in court.

“Obviously, this is humiliating, but Jack’s focus isn’t on the headlines,” the source said. “All he cares about is Sean’s wellbeing and getting him the help and guidance he needs to turn his life around.”

  1. What a stupid story! Threatening to kill oneself isn’t a threat to anyone else… although beating her up is… let him learn a lesson in jail for a while…
