A quiet Florida neighborhood erupted in chaos this week when a doorbell camera captured four masked gunmen opening fire on a Plantation rental home in broad daylight.

The shocking video shows a blue-gray Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 screeching to a halt outside the home around noon Wednesday. Within seconds, four armed men jump out and unleash a hail of bullets before speeding away.

“It was like a war zone,” one stunned neighbor told Local 10 News. “I heard at least 20 shots in less than 10 seconds. I grabbed my kids and hit the floor.”

According to Plantation Police, the luxury SUV was riding on Florida plates registered to a vehicle reported stolen out of Miami Gardens. Investigators believe the shooters specifically targeted the home — but the people inside aren’t talking.

“The residents have refused to cooperate with detectives,” the department said in a statement. “At this time, the motive for the shooting remains unclear.”

Authorities are also investigating a possible connection between this attack and another shooting just 45 minutes later near Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County.

This latest gun battle highlights mounting tensions across South Florida. Crime analysts note that violent incidents tied to organized crews have surged in Broward and Miami-Dade counties over the past year.

“These are not random attacks,” retired Miami homicide detective Ed Martinez told WSVN. “This has the hallmarks of retaliation — organized, fast, and surgical.”

Miraculously, no one inside the Plantation home was hurt despite bullets riddling the walls. Investigators recovered multiple shell casings from the street, but the suspects remain on the run.
