Goldie Hawn is setting her sights on an unexpected new career move—taking on Chip and Joanna Gaines in the world of home improvement.
The 79-year-old Hollywood icon, best known for classics like Death Becomes Her and The First Wives Club, hasn’t headlined a major movie in years. Now, insiders say she’s eager to reinvent herself by diving into the Gaineses’ territory and carving out her own niche in home design and lifestyle TV.
“Goldie has a real passion for this,” a source revealed. “Her holiday décor and entertaining have always been legendary, and she’s confident she has the charisma and know-how to challenge the Gaines empire.”
The actress has already proven her skills on HGTV’s Celebrity IOU, where she joined Drew and Jonathan Scott, the Property Brothers, to help transform her friend’s kitchen and living room. That experience, paired with her lifelong love for creating warm and inviting spaces, has only fueled her desire to launch a new full-time venture.
While longtime partner Kurt Russell continues filming blockbusters, Hawn has her sights set on flipping properties, creating beautiful spaces, and potentially starring in her own home design projects. Friends say she’s determined to bring the same focus and energy she gave to her acting career into this new chapter.
“Goldie has always loved a challenge,” the insider explained. “And now she’s targeting a future that could put her head-to-head with Chip and Joanna.”
For Hawn, Hollywood may be in the rearview mirror—but her next act could be one of her most surprising yet.
