White House Slams Joy Behar as “Jealous and Irrelevant” Amid Four-Week Hiatus
ABC’s controversial daytime talk show The View is going dark for four weeks — and Donald Trump Jr. is loving every second of it.
After co-host Joy Behar announced the show would take its traditional August hiatus, Trump Jr. pounced online, calling the news “a major win for humanity and common sense.” His celebratory post on X (formerly Twitter) quickly ignited a political firestorm — with the Trump White House joining the pile-on just hours later.
“This isn’t just a break. It’s a blessing,” Trump Jr. posted. “Millions of Americans can finally enjoy their mornings without the mind-numbing screeching of washed-up liberal activists.”

But despite the buzz, TMZ confirmed the break is part of The View’s usual summer schedule. The show shuts down production every August, with hosts and crew returning for pre-season planning in late summer. Still, Trump allies aren’t letting facts get in the way of a moment to gloat.
Taylor Rogers, spokesperson for President Donald Trump, issued a scorching statement to Entertainment Weekly slamming the longtime co-host.
“Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Rogers said. “Instead of attacking the president, maybe she should reflect on her jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show becomes the next casualty of its own bias.”
ABC insiders, meanwhile, brushed off the criticism. “We’ve heard it all before,” said a source close to the production. “The ladies aren’t worried about noise from Trump World. Their job is to share their opinions. The viewers can decide what they think.”
And many viewers are tuning in. Despite Republican attacks, the show has posted strong ratings in 2025 — especially during episodes covering political hot topics, including President Trump’s re-election and the ongoing investigations into former members of the Biden administration.
Still, critics say the show has become increasingly partisan and out of touch with the American public. “There’s no debate anymore,” said conservative commentator Jenna Ellis. “It’s just a liberal echo chamber disguised as daytime television.”
The View is expected to return in early September, just in time to ramp up for what’s shaping up to be a fiery fall news cycle as President Trump eyes sweeping immigration reforms and possible cabinet shake-ups.
For now, though, Don Jr. is savoring the silence.
“Let’s be honest,” he wrote in a follow-up post. “Four weeks without The View might be the most peaceful America has felt in years.”

Funny, Trump Jr and Sr, who’s busy silencing late nite comics and now, apparently, the morning chat shows, just can’t seem to remember that Sr. was elected twice, so what’s his damage? His MAGA base isn’t being swayed by either the late nite comics or the morning ladies. I frankly can’t see what it is they are worried about with any of these shows!!
Trump Jr., as far as I’m concerned, I think you are an insignificant little weasel and what the girls have to say or discuss is just as important as anything coming out of your trap ! Your daddy has bigger problems than “The View” !
Donnie Jr needs to grow up. He is such a weasel .and insignificant brain dead coke head. Him and his old man are nothing but takers and they lie, constantly. Can’t stand them. What grumpy old man is doing to this country is disgusting.
A sigh of relief for all Americans. Let’s celebrate!!Sent from my iPhone
