In a brazen new wave of cyber aggression, Chinese state-sponsored hackers have reportedly infiltrated multiple U.S. government systems—including the agency in charge of safeguarding America’s nuclear arsenal.

According to a bombshell Bloomberg report, two elite cyber espionage units—codenamed Linen Typhoon and Violet Typhoon—exploited vulnerabilities in Microsoft’s widely used SharePoint software. Their most alarming target? The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), the federal agency tasked with managing the safety and security of the U.S. nuclear stockpile.

But the NNSA wasn’t the only government entity hit.

The same Chinese-backed operatives are believed to have breached systems at the Department of Education, the Florida Department of Revenue, and even the Rhode Island General Assembly, in what experts are calling one of the most far-reaching espionage operations uncovered this year.

“This is a full-scale digital assault on the infrastructure of the free world,” said a senior U.S. cybersecurity analyst who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the investigation. “They’re not just stealing secrets—they’re testing our defenses across the board.”

Microsoft has launched its own internal investigation and issued a stark warning.

“We have high confidence these actors will continue to integrate these types of vulnerabilities into future attacks,” the tech giant said in a statement Tuesday.

This operation wasn’t confined to the U.S. alone.

Government networks in Canada, Brazil, Spain, Indonesia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland have also reportedly come under fire from similar attacks—raising concerns that this may be part of a coordinated global campaign to destabilize Western democracies.

In a swift denial, the Chinese Embassy in Washington dismissed the allegations as “unfounded speculation” and accused the U.S. of “smearing others without solid evidence.”

Despite the denial, cybersecurity insiders say the fingerprint of Chinese military intelligence is “all over this.”

“This is classic Chinese cyber warfare,” said former NSA operative Jake Warren. “They penetrate, they observe, and they wait. They’re building backdoors that they can activate whenever it suits their strategic interests—whether that’s during a future crisis in Taiwan or an election year in America.”

Requests for comment sent to the impacted U.S. agencies by The Daily Beast remain unanswered.

With U.S. intelligence officials scrambling to assess the damage, one question looms large: If our nuclear security agency isn’t safe, what is?

  1. We all know certain political figures are helping them like Biden administration. Follow money from that country to our government officials and you find the traitor’s.
