While King Charles battles cancer, Prince William leads the charge—without his estranged brother anywhere in sight.

The British royal family is gearing up for its most symbolic show of unity this year—and there’s no room for Harry and Meghan.

Once again, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been left off the guest list for Trooping the Colour, the annual military pageant that marks the monarch’s official birthday. This marks the third year in a row the couple has been excluded from the high-profile event.

“They weren’t invited. And that’s no accident,” said royal insider Hilary Fordwich. “This year is about strength, stability, and the monarchy’s core. There’s no tolerance for drama—or distractions.”

Charles Rallies Through Cancer, But Not For Harry

King Charles III, still undergoing cancer treatment, is expected to appear in a carriage beside Queen Camilla during Saturday’s parade. Though tradition dictates the monarch should ride on horseback, Charles, 76, is taking a cue from his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who shifted to carriage appearances in her later years.

“His stamina is remarkable,” said royal commentator Ian Pelham Turner. “But I wish he would slow down. The British people would understand. He’s already proven his dedication.”

According to palace sources, the king has been quietly preparing for his 80th birthday celebrations—yet his own son remains cut off. Prince Harry’s repeated efforts to reconnect, including private letters and calls, have reportedly gone unanswered.

“The King is simply too exhausted to deal with Harry’s demands and ongoing legal squabbles,” said Majesty magazine editor Ingrid Seward. “Especially the security case. It’s not the Palace’s fight.”

The Working Royals Close Ranks

While Harry and Meghan fade into irrelevance across the pond, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children are stepping firmly into the spotlight.

William will ride horseback beside Princess Anne and Prince Edward. Kate and their three children—George, Charlotte, and Louis—will appear in a carriage and later join the family on the Buckingham Palace balcony, where all eyes will be on the next generation.

“The message is clear: this is the future,” said biographer Sally Bedell Smith. “And that future doesn’t include the Sussexes.”

Sources close to Prince William say he has no interest in reconciliation. “The issue is trust,” one insider told a British outlet. “And there simply isn’t any left.”

California Glamour Falls Flat

On the same day Britain will be watching its royal core parade through London, Meghan Markle was supposed to attend a glitzy gala in Los Angeles. But the Night of Wonder at the Natural History Museum has been indefinitely postponed due to ongoing protests.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams scoffed at the coincidence. “Meghan’s canceled event in LA is irrelevant to the monarchy. The truth is, interest in them is waning—and the royals know they can’t be trusted.”

The Sussexes have lived in California since 2020, when they dramatically quit their roles as senior royals. Their accusations of palace neglect, claims of racism, and Harry’s memoir Spare have only deepened the rift.

“Every time Harry opens his mouth, he digs the trench wider,” said one former royal aide. “There’s nothing left to salvage.”

No Uniform, No Balcony, No Return

While Harry once proudly rode horseback in full dress uniform at Trooping the Colour, those days are long gone. As a non-working royal, he’s not permitted to wear military regalia or stand on the palace balcony.

Even his disgraced uncle, Prince Andrew—who stepped back after his association with Jeffrey Epstein—will be sidelined.

“It’s darkly ironic,” Fitzwilliams said. “Two royals who saw real action—Andrew in the Falklands, Harry in Afghanistan—are now pariahs.”

But this year, the focus will be on the strength and poise of the next generation. Princess Charlotte’s charm, Prince George’s growing maturity, and Prince Louis’s antics are expected to captivate the nation.

Kate Middleton, recovering from her own recent health scare, will once again appear poised and radiant, fulfilling her duty with grace.

“She looked like Audrey Hepburn last year,” Turner said. “She’ll remind the world again what royalty is supposed to look like.”

A Monarchy Moving On

Royal watchers say Charles may still hold hope for a reconciliation behind the scenes. But publicly? The door is closed.

“The King has to work with the loyal players he has,” said Seward. “That means William, Kate, and the children. Harry and Meghan made their choice—and now the monarchy is making theirs.”

Trooping the Colour will feature over 1,400 soldiers, 400 musicians, and a roaring RAF fly-past. But for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, there’s no seat, no spotlight, and no sign they’ll ever be welcomed back.

As one palace source bluntly put it: “They chose California. We’re moving forward without them.”

  1. What did you expect? There’s NO WAY they would have been invited anyway! They would have run their mouths afterwards, bending the truth to their POV… Harry and the Shrew are TOXIC and should be kept away from the rest of the Royal Family. Neither one of them has a brain cell between them and the Shrew is DESPERATE for attention, wealth and status. She thought it would be a cake walk but the truth of being a working member of the RF showed that she just couldn’t do it. There’s more to being a Duchess than having servants and bossing others around. That was done way before the 18th Century, and in Henry the VIII’s time shw might have been sent to the Tower and on to the chopping block for her behavior.

You have to put in the effort in your duties to the Crown and it showed that she was just in it for the money, jewellery, clothes and fame. But she really wanted William and not Harry, thank goodness Catherine got William first!

Let Harry and the Shrew stay in California for the time being…if they can keep paying for their fancy lifestyle. Somehow I seriously doubt they will be able to, if she blows through whatever money Harry was left by his mother and the late Queen. I also don’t see him getting anything from Charles when he passes.

  2. Praying for the Royal family. Hope that brothers will reunite. Forgive each other.
    Family is so very important.
