A New York City deliveryman was filmed doing the unthinkable — scooping a pizza off the dirty Manhattan street and stuffing it back into the box before riding off to deliver it like nothing happened.

The incident, which took place on the corner of Second Avenue and East 106th Street, has left locals stunned and Americans across the country shaking their heads at the latest example of declining standards in big-city service.

“He Don’t Even Care”: Witness Speaks Out

Harlem resident Nataysha Jernigan, 35, caught the stomach-turning act on video and posted it to social media, where it exploded with over 140,000 views.

He dropped the pizza right on the pavement and just put it back like it was no big deal,” Jernigan told The Post. “I said, ‘Sir, your order’s on the floor!’ and he just pretended not to hear me.”

Jernigan, a medical assistant on her way home from Central Park on March 28, was horrified.

I’m about to stop ordering altogether,” she said. “Look at this — he don’t even care. Devious!

Pizza, Pavement, and Pretending Not to Speak English?

The deliveryman — riding an electric bike, likely working for one of the major app-based gig companies like DoorDash or Uber Eats — allegedly ignored Jernigan’s warning and played dumb.

He picked it up so fast like he’s done this before,” she added. “Like, that is f—ing gross.

Trust in Delivery? Gone.

Since the incident, Jernigan says she won’t order delivery unless the restaurant seals the food with a tamper-proof sticker. And she’s not alone.

“The streets needed to see this!” one Instagram user commented.

This is why I do pickup only,” said another.

Others shared their own horror stories — one woman said she once saw a delivery driver take a bathroom break with people’s food strapped to his back. Another infamous case involved a Brooklyn deliveryman caught snacking on toppings from the pizza he was about to deliver.

Big-City Chaos, Zero Accountability

The video has raised fresh concerns about food safety and the lack of oversight in the growing gig economy — especially in cities like New York, where law and order often take a back seat.

This is what happens when you have no standards, no pride in work, and zero accountability,” said one longtime Upper East Side resident. “If this happened in Florida or Texas, that driver would be out of a job before he made it around the block.

What Pizza Joint Hired Him? No One Knows

The deliveryman’s employer remains a mystery. He was seen riding away without any clear markings or logos on his bike or uniform, leading many to believe he may be working freelance under one of the big-name food apps.

Inquiries to Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub went unanswered at press time.

The Bottom Line

This isn’t just about pizza — it’s about trust. If we can’t trust our food’s been handled properly, what else is falling through the cracks?

It’s not just gross, it’s dangerous,” Jernigan said. “That food touches the same streets where rats, garbage, and who-knows-what else roam.

And in today’s America, where hardworking families are paying more for less, one thing’s for sure: we deserve better than street pie.

  1. New York, New York, so good they named it twice. (I’m sure it happens in small towns, too.)

  2. Happened to me in a small town of about 33,000 people. I went thru a Sub Way drive thru, and at the window, the worker let 1/2 of it slide out into the floor. He promptly picked it up and headed to a back room. He re-wrapped that baby and carried it back to the window. I looked at him and said, “Are you kidding me” ? I proceeded inside and confronted the lady manager and after a bit of a scene, I got my money back. It was like pulling teeth, but I did shame her out of a coupon for 5 measly dollars. Big friggin’ deal ! No telling what happens that we don’t !

  3. Thanks. I\’ll take the time to have my pizza dough ready and make my own pizza. He started off well but became unrighteous meaning he could have done other good things for his customer, made some phone calls etc…we as a people need to slow down and do the right thing even though it\’s uncomfortable if want friendship with Jehovah God.

  4. I ordered a 2 pizzas from dominos, when the delivery driver got to my door, I took the pizza and tip the driver. Closed my front door and put pizza’s down on the kitchen counter and opened up the first pizza and it appeared to be fine. But when I opened up the second one it was scrambled pieces. So I tried to see if any pieces were missing but putting the pizza back together. Sure enough there were three missing pieces. I called dominos took photos before and after. And told them do not send it with the same driver! But who shows up with no shame at my door? The same driver! Do you think I was comfortable to eat that pizza? For all I know he could have spit on it! No more dominos pizza from me! They don’t even tape the box so the driver can’t get in it! Thanks but no thanks!
