President Donald Trump has once again set his sights on the judiciary, calling for the impeachment of U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg after the judge attempted to block deportation flights to El Salvador. In a fiery Truth Social post on Tuesday morning, Trump accused Boasberg of siding with criminals over American citizens and slammed his appointment by former President Barack Obama.
“This Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge, a troublemaker and agitator who was sadly appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, was not elected by the American people! He didn’t WIN the popular VOTE (by a lot!), he didn’t WIN ALL SEVEN SWING STATES, he didn’t WIN 2,750 to 525 Counties—HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING!” Trump wrote. “I WON FOR MANY REASONS, IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, BUT FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAY HAVE BEEN THE NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THIS HISTORIC VICTORY.”
The dispute stems from a legal battle over the Biden administration’s attempts to curtail deportations. Boasberg, an Obama appointee who has a history of rulings favoring immigration activists, recently moved to suspend flights sending Salvadoran nationals back to their home country, citing concerns over human rights violations. Trump, who has long championed strict immigration enforcement, sees this as yet another example of activist judges interfering in national security matters.
“We don’t want vicious, violent, and demented criminals—many of them deranged murderers—roaming our streets,” Trump continued. “This judge, like many of the Crooked Judges I am forced to appear before, should be IMPEACHED!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
Boasberg, who serves as the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, has previously ruled against Trump-era policies. In 2018, he blocked a policy that would have made it easier to deport illegal immigrants without court hearings. More recently, he ruled against efforts to reinstate the Remain in Mexico policy, a cornerstone of Trump’s border enforcement strategy.
Conservative lawmakers and Trump allies quickly rallied behind the former president’s call. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) voiced his support, telling reporters, “It’s time we hold these activist judges accountable. The American people are sick of unelected liberals dictating policy from the bench.” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Judicial overreach has gone too far. We need judges who respect the Constitution and the rule of law.”
On the other side, Democrats and legal experts dismissed Trump’s remarks as dangerous rhetoric. “This is an attack on the judiciary and our democratic institutions,” said Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). “Judges must be free to rule based on the law, not political pressure from an ex-president desperate to stay relevant.”
As the battle over deportations continues, Trump’s influence over the Republican Party remains as strong as ever. Whether Boasberg will face real impeachment efforts remains to be seen, but with a GOP-controlled House, some lawmakers are already floating the idea of investigating judicial activism in immigration cases.

This judge is not for the American people! He should be stripped of his position and get someone in his place that is for this country and it’s legal, tax paying citizens.

Trump is the 1 who needs to be impeached. NO respect for the fundamental values of the US. He’s destroying any relationship with our allies and it wouldn’t be surprising if Trump doesn’t destroy the nation by the end of the year and we are under the rule of his good friend, Putin.
