Gates, who has long been associated with Democratic politics, recently made headlines by attending a dinner with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. “President Trump has a broad policy vision, and I wanted to share my thoughts on issues like global health and innovation,” Gates said in an interview.

One of Gates’ biggest challenges has been the growing skepticism around vaccines, a movement that Trump has at times encouraged. Gates has spent billions through his foundation promoting vaccines, but the rise of figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has fueled anti-vaccine sentiment.
