Nancy Pelosi is back in the headlines, this time taking aim at Donald Trump’s mental state, claiming he’s in “cognitive degeneration” and throwing around bizarre comments at his Pennsylvania rally.
In an appearance on Inside with Jen Psaki, Pelosi insisted Trump is “deteriorating” and even accused him of putting his supporters at risk with what she describes as “dangerous” rhetoric.
“What the ex-president just said is further indication of his cognitive degeneration,” Pelosi said, pointing to a moment in the rally when Trump quipped that if someone “had to shoot through the fake news” to get to him, he wouldn’t “mind that so much.”
Pelosi suggested Trump’s comments could incite violence, calling his words about the media “a serious red flag” for the country.
She then went further, questioning if Trump could physically or mentally handle another four-year term in office. Pelosi warned, “People who are thinking about voting for him have to know that he can’t last as president for four years with his brain deteriorating at the rate that it is.”
She hinted at a worst-case scenario: “They may be voting for President Vance,” referring to Trump ally and Ohio Senator JD Vance, who Pelosi claims would be “a horrible thing for our country.”

Pelosi’s words are a stark warning for Trump’s supporters. She’s not just questioning his policies but taking aim at his ability to serve at all, painting him as an unpredictable risk to the nation.
Reflecting on her own experiences, Pelosi recalled violent incidents her family faced. During the 2021 Capitol events, insurgents were heard chanting her name, and in 2022, her husband was attacked by an intruder who reportedly asked, “Where’s Nancy?” “Our family has experienced the violence firsthand,” she told Psaki, tying the incident back to Trump’s influence.
As Election Day approaches, Pelosi’s comments remind voters that the stakes aren’t just political—they may be personal for anyone who doesn’t fall in line.
