Meghan Markle is facing fresh criticism after a new family video appeared to reveal clues about where she, Prince Harry and their children are staying in the United Kingdom.
Critics are now accusing the Duchess of Sussex of becoming her family’s “biggest security threat” after she shared a montage showing the Sussexes enjoying their new life in the English countryside.
The 45-year-old posted several photos and video clips featuring Harry and their children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, just weeks after the family arrived in Britain on Aug. 26.
But eagle-eyed viewers quickly began studying the background of the footage, claiming several recognizable details may have exposed the location of the family’s supposedly private retreat.
The montage opened with Harry and Meghan bundled up in coats and jeans while walking along a wooded road.
Another shot showed one of their children warming their feet beside a roaring fireplace.
Later, Archie and Lilibet were seen wearing shorts and enjoying warmer weather as they ran and rode a bicycle along what appeared to be a private road.
At one point, a massive herd of deer raced across the road in front of them.
But it was footage of Harry and the children fishing that really caught viewers’ attention.
The family was shown beside a secluded lake, with a distinctive bridge visible in the background. Other clips showed trout moving through shallow water while one of the Sussexes’ dogs walked along the shoreline.
The scenes immediately sparked speculation online.
Some social media users claimed the setting looked similar to the private Northamptonshire estate owned by billionaire Ian Wace.
Wace has reportedly helped support Harry and Meghan’s move back to Britain after the couple spent six years living in Montecito, California, following their dramatic departure from royal duties in 2020.
Published descriptions of Wace’s Rowler Estate reportedly mention a private lake and trout farm, details critics say resemble the scenery shown in Meghan’s video.
That was enough to send royal watchers into a frenzy.
“For two people so paranoid about security, why post photos with such identifiable landmarks that it takes people 2.5 seconds to figure out where you are?” one critic wrote on X.
Another claimed Meghan herself was the biggest threat to the family’s privacy because of her willingness to share their lives on Instagram.
A third bluntly declared, “Meghan doxxed herself.”
The backlash comes after years of public disputes over security involving Harry and Meghan.
The couple has repeatedly argued that security concerns have made traveling and living in Britain difficult, particularly when their children are involved.
But King Charles has also made it clear that Harry and Meghan are not returning to royal duties under any kind of “half-in, half-out” arrangement.
A letter issued through the Lord Chamberlain stated that there had been no change to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s official status.
Their “His and Her Royal Highness” styles remain unused, and any charitable or commercial work they perform is considered private rather than official royal business.
The letter described their activities as being similar to those of “private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.”
It also made clear that Harry and Meghan remain responsible for their own security expenses.
“Any operational security issues should continue to be directed to the relevant Police authorities,” the letter stated.
Sources close to the Sussexes reportedly bristled at the description of the couple as “private citizens,” arguing that Harry and Meghan remain highly visible public figures.
Now, after Meghan’s latest social media post, critics say the Duchess may have accidentally undermined her own argument about keeping the family’s location private.
