Five people were killed and at least 40 others injured after a tour bus carrying Dutch tourists crashed and overturned in Switzerland.
The deadly accident happened Thursday afternoon in the eastern region of Graubünden.
Police said 45 people were aboard the coach when it struck a guardrail, veered off the road and overturned onto its side.
Five people were killed.
At least 40 others were injured, including three who suffered serious injuries. Seven people were moderately injured, while another 30 sustained minor injuries, according to authorities.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene and worked late into the night.
Police, firefighters, paramedics and helicopters were all involved in the massive response.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the bus to crash.
Investigators with the Graubünden public prosecutor’s office and cantonal police are now working to establish exactly what happened in the moments leading up to the wreck.
Police said they were also still working to confirm the identities of everyone who had been aboard the bus.
The investigation remains ongoing.
