Hollywood bombshell: Jack Nicholson is turning 89 — and insiders say the legendary ladies’ man is still haunted by the one woman he couldn’t keep.

Sources claim the famously reclusive Oscar winner is living with deep regret over losing Anjelica Huston — the fiery, on-again-off-again love who walked away after nearly two decades of drama, heartbreak, and betrayal.

The pair first sparked at a party in Nicholson’s Los Angeles home back in 1973, launching a whirlwind romance that stretched 17 years. But behind the glamour was a relationship constantly rocked by Nicholson’s notorious playboy lifestyle — something Huston eventually refused to tolerate.

According to insiders, the breaking point came when Nicholson fathered a child with actress Rebecca Broussard while still involved with Huston.

“She’s the love of his life,” a source spilled. “He can’t believe what a fool he was. He knows he ruined it.”

Now, decades after their split, Nicholson is said to still talk about Huston — and the mistakes that cost him everything. “There’s nothing he can do but look back and regret it,” the insider added. “He was unfaithful in the worst way, and he knows it.”

Despite staying largely out of the public eye in recent years, Nicholson reportedly hasn’t let go of the past — and even saw a glimmer of hope during a frightening moment in 2025.

When wildfires tore through the Pacific Palisades, Huston was forced to flee her home with her pets and housekeeper. Nicholson reached out.

“He called to check if I was okay and if I had somewhere to stay,” Huston revealed at the time. “When things get serious, he shows up.”

But any hopes of a reunion were quickly shut down.

“She appreciated it, but it didn’t change anything,” the source said. “She’ll always care about him — but that chapter is closed.”

Huston herself has been candid about the complicated love story. In a 2025 interview, she admitted she stayed with Nicholson despite his cheating because she truly loved him — and learned to emotionally protect herself along the way.

“It wasn’t so personal,” she explained. “That was just who he was. Once I understood that, I knew how to handle it — even if it didn’t make me happy.”

Now, as Nicholson marks another birthday far from the spotlight, the story reads like classic Hollywood tragedy — a legendary star, a once-in-a-lifetime love, and a past he can’t rewrite.
