Golden Corral Diner Brutally Attacked by Workers After Payment Mix-Up

A night out at a buffet allegedly spiraled into chaos — and now a Nevada man says he’s dealing with life-changing injuries.

According to a new lawsuit, 59-year-old Gary Sellinger claims he was attacked by multiple employees at a Golden Corral in Henderson, just outside Las Vegas, after a manager allegedly accused his table of not paying.

The incident reportedly happened February 2, 2025. The court filing says Sellinger arrived around 5 p.m. with a friend, and another friend later joined them.

But during the meal, the lawsuit claims a manager came to their table and accused the group of not paying for their food. Sellinger allegedly tried to show proof — saying he had a receipt — but was still told to leave the buffet-style restaurant.

That’s when things allegedly turned physical.

The lawsuit claims that as Sellinger stood up and tried to hand over his silverware, another employee grabbed him by the neck and slammed him into a table.

From there, Sellinger says the situation escalated fast. In the filing, he alleges he was “pummelled, hit and kicked” by multiple employees — and that he suffered “irreversible injuries.”

His attorney, Keith Galliher, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Sellinger suffered a serious head injury during the alleged attack.

“I’ve had him evaluated and he has a traumatic brain injury because he struck his head on the chair when he was tackled and fell to the floor,” Galliher said, according to the outlet.

Galliher also claimed witnesses back up the account — and that photos show Sellinger was stabbed multiple times with a fork, including in the back.

Now Sellinger is seeking more than $15,000 in damages, plus attorney fees and other costs.

The lawsuit also says the incident was reported to the Henderson Police Department. A police spokesperson told the Review-Journal that officers responded around 6:08 p.m. and the incident was documented as a call for service — but no report was filed.

The Independent reported it reached out to Golden Corral, Galliher, and Henderson police for comment.
