The search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie has taken another grim turn, and it’s a devastating blow to her daughter, Today host Savannah Guthrie, as the FBI revealed there are still no suspects, no persons of interest, and no fresh communication from the alleged kidnappers — even after their second ransom deadline came and went.
After nearly two weeks with no sign of Nancy, the FBI confirmed they have found no breakthrough clues since taking over the investigation into the bizarre ransom notes reportedly sent to the Guthrie family.
“For more than a week, FBI agents, analysts and professional staff have worked around the clock to reunite Nancy Guthrie with her family,” the bureau said, before issuing the unsettling update: investigators have no confirmed suspects and no ongoing dialogue with whoever abducted her.
The bureau added that agents from across the country have been pulled into Tucson to support the massive search effort, now run out of a 24-hour command post staffed with crisis experts, analysts, and investigative teams. But despite the growing manpower, officials say the public may hold the key.
“Someone has that one piece of information that can help us bring Nancy home,” the FBI pleaded. “Please call us at 1-800-CALL-FBI.”
Hours earlier, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department officially handed off all responsibilities related to the ransom letters to federal investigators, signaling just how serious — and complicated — the case has become.
Meanwhile, a surprising glimmer of hope came from the world of crypto. Blockchain expert Bezalel Eithan Raviv, CEO of Lionsgate Network, believes the kidnappers may have accidentally exposed themselves by including a real Bitcoin address in their ransom note.
“He showed his Achilles to everyone who understands blockchain forensics,” Raviv said, explaining that criminals often underestimate how easily cryptocurrency can be traced — especially when they hand over a wallet address. According to Raviv, even sending a tiny test amount to that wallet could reveal its destination and potentially crack open the case.
“Most people still believe you cannot trace or recover crypto,” he said. “And these are all nonsense ideas because we have shifted so much.”
Savannah Guthrie and her siblings remain publicly hopeful and continue urging anyone with information to come forward as the search for their mother enters a critical stage with no confirmed leads — and rising fear.

Do you really trust the FBI. They only work for Trump. They can not be trusted.
