The reality star who once bragged about steamy romps with Prince Harry is now at the center of a wild “dine-and-dash” scandal in Majorca.
Catherine Ommanney, the 53-year-old former Real Housewives of DC firecracker, was arrested on Sunday after a hotel accused her of skipping out on her bill at a holiday hotspot near Magaluf.
Spanish police say Ommanney checked into the three-star Playas del Rey Hotel in Santa Ponsa and racked up a nine-day tab of more than £434 – then allegedly left without paying. The hotel manager went straight to the cops, and officers swooped in.
She was cuffed on suspicion of fraud and dragged before a judge in Palma on Sunday night, before being released on bail as the investigation rolls on.
But Ommanney is blasting the whole thing as a total farce.
“It’s all bulls**t. The bill was paid,” she snapped afterward, insisting she has proof. “It was a technical error on the hotel’s behalf, and I will be seeking an apology through the justice system.”
Local outlet Ultima Hora claimed she booked the stay using a card “with no funds” – a detail that has only poured gasoline on the drama, even though nothing has been proven in court. Police sources say she stayed at the hotel from January 2 to 11.
Spain’s Civil Guard confirmed they arrested “a 53-year-old British woman” after a Santa Ponsa hotel reported a guest for allegedly vanishing without settling up. The hotel manager isn’t talking, and Ommanney’s lawyer is staying quiet until she gets the green light from her client.
The arrest throws Ommanney straight back into the tabloids years after she went public with her alleged fling with Prince Harry.
Back in 2022, she claimed she and Harry had a two-month whirlwind in 2006 after meeting in a bar, when he was 21 and she was a 34-year-old mother of three. She described the young prince as “very sure of himself,” “a great kisser,” “very passionate,” and insisted “he knew what he was doing.”
She even said she nicknamed him “baby” because he was always sucking on lollipops, and suggested he was drawn to her because she was “older and wiser” than the 20-somethings throwing themselves at him. The fling fizzled after a few meetups, though she claimed they were still friendly when they crossed paths at a polo match in 2009.
Now the woman who once painted intimate pictures of a “very giving” Harry finds herself in a very different headline: accused hotel “runner” fighting to clear her name, while the world watches to see whether this drama ends in an apology – or a conviction.
