Disney Channel alum Steven Anthony Lawrence is making explosive claims about why he lost his job at Universal Studios Hollywood — and it’s raising major questions about theme park safety.

Steven Anthony Lawrence — best known to millennials as “Beans” from Even Stevens — says he was fired in retaliation after reporting what he described as a “suspected pedophile” lurking around children at Universal Studios.

In a dramatic Instagram post shared on Jan. 3, the 35-year-old actor didn’t hold back. He posted a photo of his employee badge and claimed he was let go for speaking up about the disturbing situation.

“It is with a heavy heart I have to announce that my time with Universal Studios has ended,” Lawrence wrote. “My boss and her HR rep decided to retaliate against me for reporting a suspected pedophile around children.”

Lawrence says he delayed going public for a month in hopes the situation could be resolved quietly — but now, he’s done being silent.

“While I will truly miss my job, I cannot be associated with an organization or people that don’t care about performer or guest safety,” he added. “With what I know, I WILL NEVER ALLOW MY KID TO GO TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD. Be safe, everyone.”

He did not name the individual he reported or offer details about the alleged incident. However, his bold accusations quickly stirred a social media storm.

Fans and fellow performers flooded the comment section with mixed reactions. Some praised him for his courage.

“You will be missed, Bean. The PAs will miss you.”

“I commend your bravery and integrity.”

But others weren’t so kind.

“You’re so unprofessional it’s embarrassing to even be associated with you as a performer,” one critic snapped.

Another commenter, claiming to be a former co-worker, made their own allegations against Lawrence:

“You were the worst to the dressers and PAs and other performers. You had the worst attitude every single day, seemed like you were on drugs or having a bad come down most days.”

Universal Studios Hollywood issued a brief statement denying any wrongdoing:

“We have investigated and reviewed the concerns brought forward by this former employee and they were found to be inaccurate and without merit. We take all employee concerns seriously and have established processes for raising any concerns without fear of retaliation.”

Steven Anthony Lawrence rose to fame in the early 2000s as the oddball neighbor “Beans” on Even Stevens, a role that made him a Disney cult favorite. His recent accusations paint a much darker picture behind the scenes of one of LA’s biggest attractions.
