It turns out the viral “Barron Trump vs. Joe Biden” moment at Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration wasn’t as savage as the internet wanted it to be.
Eric Trump is clearing the air after fans went wild over a short clip showing 19-year-old Barron shaking Joe Biden’s hand and whispering something just minutes before his father unleashed a scathing speech blasting the outgoing administration.
Appearing on The Megyn Kelly Show this week, Eric laughed about how wild the theories got. “Everyone had lip-readers saying Barron told Biden to go f— himself,” he said. “So I called Barron and asked, ‘Buddy, what did you actually say?’ And he goes, ‘Congratulations and best of luck to you’ — something super polite.”
Eric added that his younger brother isn’t the confrontational type. “He’s a nice guy,” he said. “He’s probably thinking it, but he’s way too courteous to say it.”
The handshake happened just before Donald Trump delivered his fiery 30-minute inaugural address — his first as America’s 47th president — in which he ripped into Biden’s record and promised a “golden age” under his return to power.
Barron, looking taller than ever in his navy suit, stood alongside his mother Melania as the crowd roared. Meanwhile, social media lit up with slow-motion breakdowns and “what did he say?” theories — but according to Eric, it was nothing but good manners.
So, no dramatic mic-drop moment — just Barron Trump proving he might be the most chill member of the entire Trump dynasty.
