Looks like King Charles isn’t leaving anything to chance — even when it comes to his own farewell. Sources say the ailing monarch has already drawn up detailed plans for his funeral, and it’s causing royal tension all over again.
Despite his cancer battle, insiders claim the 76-year-old king is staying firmly in charge of how his final send-off will look — and that includes making sure Prince Harry is invited, whether Prince William likes it or not.
“Charles knows the end is near,” one insider told RadarOnline.com. “The palace is trying to make it seem less serious, but His Majesty knows what’s coming — and he wants to go out his way.”
Sources say the King’s funeral plans mirror the grandeur of Queen Elizabeth II’s — complete with Westminster Abbey honors, global leaders, royal families, and the kind of pomp only the British monarchy can pull off.
“There will be no expenses spared,” one royal aide revealed. “He hasn’t been king for long, but he’s served the crown for more than 70 years — and he deserves a royal goodbye.”
But not everyone will make the guest list. King Charles reportedly wants his wife, Queen Camilla, and son Harry front and center — but Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson will likely be left out, given their lingering ties to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
“The royal family has no interest in bringing Andrew back into the public eye,” royal commentator Hilary A. Fordwich told reporters. “William isn’t going to protect him like Charles once did.”
Behind palace walls, it’s no secret the tension between the brothers hasn’t thawed. While Charles recently reconciled with Harry during an emotional visit to Clarence House — their first meeting in 19 months — William reportedly wants nothing to do with his California-based sibling.
“William is determined to block Harry’s attempts to move back to Windsor or return to royal duties,” an insider claimed. “From his perspective, it would only cause more confusion and drama. He feels burned and doesn’t want to reopen old wounds.”
Harry, meanwhile, is said to be considering a “half-in, half-out” arrangement — splitting time between Los Angeles and the U.K. alongside Meghan Markle. The move, according to sources, has only deepened the divide between the brothers.
As King Charles’ health continues to falter, royal insiders say William is quietly being prepared to take the reins sooner rather than later.
“The illusion of perfect health is collapsing,” said one palace source. “What we’re seeing now is the reality behind the crown — a monarch in decline and a family scrambling to hold things together.”
And when that final day comes, one thing’s for sure: Prince Harry will be there — even if his big brother can’t stop him.
