Witch Who Cursed Charlie Kirk Begs to Speak with His Widow

The self-proclaimed witch linked to a bizarre “curse” placed on conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk before his shocking assassination now says she wants to meet privately with his widow, Erika.

Priestess Lilin, who claims to have participated in a ritual aimed at the Turning Point USA founder, insisted in a new interview that she never intended harm and that she does not “celebrate the loss of life.”

“We regret any distress experienced,” Lilin said. “What we do is done on an impartial, professional level. We respect the widow’s feelings and welcome a private conversation to address her concerns.”

The controversy began weeks before Kirk’s killing, when a liberal-leaning site published a story titled, “We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk.” The article bragged about hiring witches online to hex the conservative commentator, even asking readers if they were “interested in punishing Kirk for the years of regressive rhetoric.”

Megyn Kelly, who was livestreaming when news of Kirk’s death broke, told her viewers Erika was “genuinely rattled” by the curse story. The Kirks were reportedly so alarmed they sought out a Catholic priest to bless and “undo” the ritual the night before Charlie was fatally shot.

Priestess Lilin now claims she wasn’t the one who performed the spell at all — that role, she says, belonged to her sister, High Priestess Leamashtu. According to the article, the ritual involved burning a photograph of Kirk.

Still, Lilin defended the practice as harmless. “Our spells are spiritual in nature. We do not perform actions that are intended to cause physical harm,” she said. “A person’s life and death always have weight, and we do not celebrate the loss of life.”

But she also warned skeptics not to laugh off her craft. “The magic we work with in our daily lives is very real,” she added.

Since the story went viral, both sisters say they’ve been banned from Etsy and have faced a wave of death threats.

For Erika Kirk, the widow of a slain political figure, the bizarre intersection of online witchcraft and real-world violence has only deepened her grief. Friends say she remains shaken by the idea that strangers invoked occult rituals against her husband just days before he was gunned down.

“She was genuinely rattled,” Kelly stressed. “This wasn’t a joke to her.”

Charlie Kirk, 31, was assassinated on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University as part of his Turning Point USA tour. He was shot in the neck about 20 minutes into his event, sending the conservative movement into shock.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead soon after.

Police arrested Tyler Robinson on September 13, charging him with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, and obstruction of justice. Prosecutors told a judge during a September 29 court appearance that the evidence against Robinson is “substantial.”

Priestess Lilin maintains she cannot and will not take responsibility for the killing. But the surreal overlap of an assassination, an online hex, and a rattled widow has turned Kirk’s death into more than a political story — it has become a disturbing cultural flashpoint.

“The fact is, his widow is in pain,” Lilin said. “I would like to speak with her privately.”

Whether Erika will take her up on that offer remains unknown.
