Former NFL defensive end Robert Quinn is back in the headlines — and the footage is shocking.

Newly released police bodycam video shows the 35-year-old ex–Pro Bowler with blood streaming down his face as he kicks the inside of a North Charleston police cruiser during his January hit-and-run arrest. The clip, published by TMZ, captures Quinn slurring his words, demanding to know “why I’m being put behind this car?” before lashing out at officers.

Wearing a University of North Carolina t-shirt, the former first-round pick gets angrier by the second. “I know you’re hearing me up front,” he shouts, just before violently kicking the door.

Back in January, Quinn’s mugshot went viral for its shocking detail — deep cuts across his forehead, nose, and mouth. Now, the disturbing bodycam footage adds another layer to the controversy.

According to police, Quinn tried to flee after allegedly crashing his maroon Ford F-150 into a Honda Element, sparking a chain reaction that damaged multiple cars at a local dealership. Surveillance cameras show his truck barreling over a median shortly before the wreck.

When officers tracked him down, Quinn was sitting in a white Dodge Challenger reportedly driven by a woman who works at a local strip club he had visited earlier that night. Officers say he was uncooperative, slurred his words, and even held a car door shut in an attempt to avoid being taken into custody.

He still faces misdemeanor reckless driving and hit-and-run charges and is due in court in December.

This isn’t Quinn’s first run-in with the law. In August 2023, he allegedly slammed into several parked cars and slapped a woman during a chaotic night in South Carolina. Witnesses recalled him drunkenly promising, “I’ll buy you new cars.” He was also arrested back in 2012 in Missouri for a DWI.

Despite his off-field troubles, Quinn’s NFL career was impressive. Drafted out of UNC in 2008, he went on to play for the Rams, Dolphins, Cowboys, Bears, and Eagles, racking up three Pro Bowl selections and more than $112 million in career earnings. He last played in 2022.

Now, the once-feared pass rusher is fighting to stay out of jail as his legacy takes another brutal hit.
