Prince Andrew has been shut out of Balmoral Castle and placed in separate housing while Prince William makes it clear he wants nothing to do with him.
The disgraced Duke of York, 64, arrived at the estate with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, but instead of sharing space with King Charles and other senior royals, he’s been tucked away at Craigowan Lodge — a seven-bedroom residence once loved by the late Queen.
A royal insider spilled: “This was no accident. William doesn’t want Andrew near Kate or the kids — not in private, not in public, not ever.”
Tensions have exploded ahead of the October 21 release of Virginia Giuffre’s tell-all memoir Nobody’s Girl, which promises to expose fresh details about Jeffrey Epstein’s global sex trafficking network — and Andrew’s alleged involvement.
The 400-page book, written before Giuffre’s untimely death in April, is described as an “unsparing and definitive account” of her abuse at Epstein’s hands and her escape at 19. It also details her claims that Andrew sexually assaulted her when she was 17 — accusations he vehemently denies but ultimately paid millions to settle in a 2022 civil lawsuit.
One royal source warned: “This book could be brutal for Andrew. It will drag everything back into the spotlight. William’s priority is protecting the monarchy — and that means keeping Andrew as far away as possible.”
Even King Charles’ three-week Balmoral retreat has done little to soothe royal tensions. “Despite the pomp and tartan,” another insider whispered, “the family is more fractured than ever. William wants to modernize the monarchy and sees Andrew as a walking disaster.
Keeping them apart isn’t just smart — it’s necessary.” With Andrew’s scandals back on center stage, insiders fear the monarchy’s reputation could take yet another devastating hit.
