Biden Allies ‘Threaten’ to Release Embarrassing Kamala Harris Stories

The gloves are off inside the Democratic Party, and it’s Kamala Harris who may get torched next.

According to veteran journalist Mark Halperin, close allies of former President Joe Biden are sitting on a political nuclear option — and they’re ready to use it. Their warning? If Kamala Harris dares to publicly blame Biden’s cognitive decline for her crushing 2024 election loss to President Donald Trump, the Biden camp will unload a cache of humiliating stories about her performance as vice president.

And we’re not talking mild criticism.

“These are Palinesque,” Halperin said Friday on his show The Morning Meeting, referencing the avalanche of post-2008 leaks that portrayed Sarah Palin as wildly unprepared to be vice president. “If Kamala goes after Biden, you’re going to hear stories about how much they tried to help her — and how quickly they realized she just wasn’t up to the job.”

The warning appears to be preemptive retribution as Harris re-enters the spotlight to promote her new memoir 107 Days, which documents her chaotic sprint to salvage the Democratic ticket after Biden abruptly dropped out of the 2024 race following his disastrous debate with Trump.

Halperin, who now runs the digital news outlet 2WAY, didn’t mince words.

“Biden’s team was extraordinary in trying to help her,” he said. “They gave her every opportunity, and in some cases… they found issues.”

He declined to elaborate, but emphasized that the stories remain sealed — for now.

“They’re not at war currently,” he said. “But if Kamala threatens Joe or his legacy, it’ll escalate fast.”

The tension underscores a deeper fracture inside the Democratic Party over how the 2024 loss unfolded — and who’s to blame.

After Biden’s jaw-dropping freeze-up during the Trump debate, his family and aides were reportedly in crisis mode. Within days, he exited the race, throwing the nomination to Harris. But with only 107 days until Election Day, she failed to rally the base and was crushed by Trump in a landslide. Many in the party blame Biden’s inner circle for concealing his cognitive struggles for too long.

Harris, however, has largely stayed silent — until now.

This week, she kicked off her book tour. And while she hasn’t directly criticized Biden, excerpts of 107 Days hint at frustration over how little time she was given to mount a real campaign. Behind the scenes, some Democrats believe she may be gearing up to say more.

And that’s exactly what Biden allies are hoping to stop.

“It’s classic Washington power politics,” one former senior Democratic aide told us anonymously. “Biden’s team wants to protect his legacy. Kamala’s team wants to salvage hers. And both camps have receipts.”

The power struggle comes at a time when President Trump is consolidating support across the country, touting record economic gains and hammering Democrats for what he calls “the Biden collapse.” Meanwhile, Harris announced this week that she won’t seek the California governorship in 2026, deepening speculation about her next move.

Political insiders warn that if this fight spills into the open, it could expose the ugliest rift yet in the post-Biden Democratic era.

“If they go scorched earth on Kamala, it won’t be pretty,” the former aide said. “But make no mistake — they’ll do it.”

President Biden, now largely out of the spotlight, continues to face fallout from Original Sin, the blockbuster exposé by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson. The book claimed that Biden sometimes struggled to recognize longtime friends, including George Clooney, and that aides secretly debated putting him in a wheelchair.

Republican-led investigations are also probing whether Biden was fully in command during his final months in office. Biden insists he was — but with every leak, that defense looks shakier.

Now, even within his own party, the whispers are turning into warnings.

And if Kamala Harris starts naming names, the Biden camp seems ready to name names right back.

“This isn’t just political,” said Halperin. “It’s personal. And it could explode.”
