Wrestling legend Vince McMahon was behind the wheel of a serious three-car crash in Connecticut last week—and it left his luxury Bentley in pieces.
The accident went down around 9 a.m. Thursday on Route 15 in Westport, just hours before the world learned about the sudden death of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan.
According to the official crash report, McMahon’s 2024 Bentley was headed north when it slammed into the back of a BMW 430. The collision sent the Bentley careening into a wooden-beam median barrier. Debris flew across the highway and struck a southbound Ford Fusion, dragging a third vehicle into the chaos.
Both McMahon’s Bentley and the BMW had their airbags deploy from the force of the crash. Fortunately, all three drivers were buckled up, and somehow, no one was seriously hurt. Still, all three cars had to be towed away—and the median suffered about 30 feet of damage.
McMahon wasn’t let off the hook. Police cited the former WWE chairman for reckless driving and following too closely, handing him a misdemeanor summons. He’s now facing a court appearance next month.
Despite the wreck, McMahon went on to release a heartfelt statement later that day following the announcement of Hulk Hogan’s death.
“Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME,” McMahon said. “He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon.”
McMahon’s camp has yet to comment on the crash.
