It was a royal spectacle in the heart of London Wednesday, as Prince Harry—now more Hollywood than Windsor—was rushed out of a courtroom by his security detail after a bizarre outburst from a female supporter.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, looked rattled and tense as bodyguards hustled him out of the Royal Courts of Justice, pausing only when an unnamed woman in her 50s shouted, “I support you, Prince Harry!” and aimed her fury at the British press.

“You’re the reason he’s not in England!” she shouted from the public gallery.

The woman, who arrived late and reportedly disrupted the hearing by fidgeting, playing with two phones, and scribbling in a notebook, was swiftly removed by security. Still, the brief incident underscored the circus-like atmosphere that now follows the prince—once a beloved soldier, now a self-exiled celebrity entangled in legal dramas and Hollywood deals.

A Courtroom Fit for a Soap Opera

The hearing itself wasn’t much better. Prince Harry is trying to claw back taxpayer-funded security for himself, his wife Meghan Markle, and their two children—even though the couple chose to walk away from royal duties in 2020.

He claims the UK is “too dangerous” for his family. Yet critics say Harry wants royal perks without the responsibilities.

“The Sussexes wished to continue their duties… as privately funded members of the royal family,” argued Harry’s attorney, Shaheed Fatima KC. The courtroom was told the couple felt “forced” to leave their roles. But many Brits see it differently: Harry and Meghan turned their backs on tradition for profit, signing multi-million-dollar deals with Netflix, Spotify, and Penguin Random House.

Security Showdown: Entitled or Unprotected?

Harry’s team alleges he was “singled out” and denied due process when the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC) downgraded his state-funded protection. His attorney said there was no formal meeting or paperwork to explain the decision.

But insiders suggest RAVEC acted within its mandate. “You don’t get to quit your job and still collect the benefits,” said a former palace aide speaking anonymously. “This isn’t Hollywood—it’s the monarchy.”

American Observers: “He’s Gone Woke, and Now He’s Lost”

In the U.S., the spectacle is drawing familiar reactions from conservatives who see Harry as yet another elitist playing victim.

“He gave up his duty, fled his country, trashed his family on Oprah—and now he’s surprised they took away his bodyguards?” said retired Army veteran and Trump supporter Jack Rollins of Kentucky. “He’s not a prince anymore. He’s just another rich liberal complaining about security while the rest of us live in the real world.”

Rollins added, “Trump would’ve told him to toughen up and stand on his own two feet.”

Hollywood Royalty or National Liability?

Harry claims the decision to strip his security was “unfair” and “unlawful,” warning it could damage the UK’s reputation if anything happened to him. But critics say his actions have already done more damage than any security lapse could.

The British public remains divided. While some still sympathize with the prince, many view him and Meghan as self-serving and disloyal. Their departure has only deepened the rift between tradition and modern celebrity culture.

As the hearing continues, one thing is clear: Prince Harry is no longer the soldier prince fighting for Queen and country. He’s now the headline-grabbing figure fighting for taxpayer perks he willingly gave up.
