In a shocking public split, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi harshly criticized Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, revealing deep fractures within the Democratic Party.

Schumer stunned colleagues Thursday by backing a Republican-led six-month spending bill designed to prevent a looming government shutdown. Pelosi fired back fiercely on Friday, accusing Senate Democrats of surrendering instead of standing firm.

“This false choice that some are buying instead of fighting is unacceptable,” Pelosi declared. She highlighted demands by Democratic Appropriations leaders Rosa DeLauro and Patty Murray for a short-term, four-week extension to negotiate a better deal. “Democratic senators should listen to the women,” Pelosi urged in her provocative rebuke.

Schumer justified his controversial decision by asserting that figures like Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump “want a shutdown to destroy vital government services faster.” Yet Trump’s response contradicted Schumer’s claim. The former president praised Schumer’s decision, writing on Truth Social, “Congratulations to Chuck Schumer for doing the right thing—Took ‘guts’ and courage.”

Pelosi’s attack intensified as 66 House Democrats, led by Rep. Derek Tran, formally urged Schumer to reconsider his stance. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and senior Democrats Katherine Clark and Pete Aguilar joined the chorus, accusing Republicans of crafting a bill that benefits wealthy corporations and billionaires.

“The far-right Republican funding bill will unleash havoc on everyday Americans,” their statement warned, insisting Trump and Musk would gain unprecedented power from the move. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez labeled Schumer’s position a “betrayal,” further highlighting the Democrats’ deepening divisions.

However, Schumer remains confident he has secured sufficient Democratic support to pass the measure, needing only eight votes from his party. This intra-party turmoil reveals Democrats increasingly fractured and struggling to counter Republican momentum ahead of critical elections.

Republicans view the Democrats’ public feud as evidence of weakening liberal unity, bolstering President Trump’s case that bipartisan cooperation under his policies leads to a stronger nation.

“Approval will lead us to new heights,” Trump proclaimed.

  1. The demokrap would rather see our country in ruins and destroyed, than work together with the republicans, to try to help it. I hope The PEOPLE, remember. Our country, our nation, our people come first, everything else is secondary, obviously the demokrap don’t see that way.

  2. Both Schumer and Pelosi need to just immediately pass away and carve the way for other “batshit crazy Dems” to pass as well! Americans are done with these Leftist radicals, Communists, One World Order Globalists and Devil Worshippers! Time to take America back and make America One nation under God!

    1. When you dig a ditch for someone else, that’s where you will end up at. Be careful wishing other folks die off. Tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us.
