Meghan Markle has taken a gamble. She recently released images of young royals—Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet—for her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

The photos show Meghan running barefoot in a field with her daughter. Princess Lilibet’s face remains hidden. This move goes against every promise Prince Harry made to shield his children from the spotlight.

Prince Harry now finds himself in turmoil. He has long warned against exposing royal children to relentless public scrutiny. “You inherit every element of royal life without choice,” he once declared on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard. The Duke vowed to “break the cycle” of pain inherited from a life under constant media attack—a pain he knows all too well from his mother’s tragic fate.

Renowned royal expert Duncan Larcombe warns that Meghan’s “tentative” approach to sharing their children has shocked many. “There’s probably some truth in the idea that Harry and Meghan don’t see eye-to-eye on this,” he said.

He added sharply, “Once the door is open, there’s no turning it off.” His words resonate with longtime observers who believe royal life should not be treated like a celebrity reality show.

For many traditionalists, this isn’t just a publicity stunt—it’s a betrayal. “The royal family isn’t a brand to be marketed on a whim,” one veteran royal watcher stated.

Conservatives, who cherish the storied traditions of the monarchy, see Meghan’s actions as a dangerous departure from decorum. They warn that exposing these young royals now could set a precedent that erodes the very values the institution was built on.

In her latest announcement, the Duchess proclaimed that her business will focus on food, gardening, and entertaining—areas that mirror her personal passions. Critics argue this is a calculated bid for further attention. They wonder if her ambition might be overshadowing the responsibility that comes with royal blood.

Prince Harry’s distress is palpable. He has openly expressed his fears of a future where his children are trapped in a relentless media circus.

His words remind us that royal life comes with a heavy burden—a burden he inherited along with the painful legacy of Princess Diana. Meanwhile, Meghan’s new approach has left traditionalists reeling and questioning whether royal duty is being sacrificed at the altar of modern celebrity.

As the debate rages, one thing is clear: this royal rift is far from over. Conservatives and royal watchers alike brace themselves for what could be a fundamental shift in the age-old institution.

  1. She wants the attention. She’s an ass and cares nothing for her children or husband or the Royal Family and what they stand for. She has been ignored for quite a while as far as the media and it makes her desire the attention. Harry married beneath himself. I think he should have waited and thought it through.
