Meghan Markle is facing what insiders call a ‘make-or-break’ moment as she prepares to launch her American Riviera Orchard brand through Netflix’s new retail venture.

With her upcoming lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, set to premiere on March 4, the former Duchess is banking on a successful product rollout to cement her standing as an entrepreneur.

The Netflix Business Experiment

Netflix, which has seen declining subscriber growth, is diving into brick-and-mortar retail with Netflix House—stores designed to cash in on their most popular shows.

Located in two major shopping centers—King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania and the Dallas Galleria in Texas—these stores will sell merchandise tied to Netflix originals. Markle’s brand, which includes jams, olive oil, honey, and a variety of home goods, will be a featured attraction.

A Track Record of Struggles

Markle, 43, has had difficulty translating her celebrity into business success. Her Spotify podcast Archetypes was canceled after one season, and her and Prince Harry’s $100 million Netflix deal has yet to yield major hits. Now, sources say this retail partnership could be a defining moment.

American Riviera Orchard will feature an extensive product line, including:

  • Gardening and wellness gear: yoga mats and gardening tools

Markle has already attempted to create buzz by gifting celebrity friends—like Kris Jenner—sample jars of her jam. While some praised the product, others questioned whether her brand has a unique identity.

Can Meghan Win Over America?

While Markle remains popular in Hollywood circles, her standing with the broader American public is mixed. Polls show that many Americans remain skeptical of her and Prince Harry’s post-royal ventures.

She actually was, and could have remained, royalty, but she overestimated her value and her relevance.
