Fox Corporation is making waves once again, securing its dominance in conservative media with a major acquisition in the rapidly growing podcast industry. The company announced Monday that it has acquired Red Seat Ventures, a production powerhouse that has played a key role in shaping today’s right-leaning digital media landscape.

The deal strengthens Fox’s grip on the evolving news industry, particularly as podcasts continue to draw millions of listeners hungry for unfiltered, long-form conservative content. Red Seat Ventures is no small player—it has helped drive the success of some of the biggest names in right-wing media, including Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Bill O’Reilly.

“This is a natural expansion for Fox,” said media analyst Robert Sutton. “The traditional news model is shifting, and Fox is ensuring it remains the go-to destination for conservative voices, whether on television, online, or through podcasts.”

The move reconnects Fox with Carlson and Kelly, two former stars of the network who have found renewed success outside of traditional cable news. Red Seat Ventures has been instrumental in Carlson’s independent network, launched in late 2023, and it currently manages ad sales for Kelly’s podcast, which she confirmed on Monday remains independently produced. Former Trump administration figure Vivek Ramaswamy is also listed among the firm’s top clients, further cementing its role in shaping the future of conservative commentary.

Although Red Seat Ventures will continue to operate independently under Fox’s Tubi brand, the acquisition represents a significant step in Fox’s strategy to extend its influence beyond cable television. “From podcasts to video, subscription services, and live events like the highly successful CrimeCon, Red Seat Ventures has built a winning formula for conservative audiences,” said Tubi Media Group CEO Paul Cheesbrough.

This strategic move signals Fox’s growing commitment to new media platforms—platforms that played a major role in Donald Trump’s political resurgence. With 2024 shaping up to be another defining year in American politics, Fox’s investment in podcasting ensures that its conservative audience remains engaged, informed, and energized for the battles ahead.
