In a bold strike against illegal immigration, federal agents arrested over 900 individuals on Wednesday, part of President Trump’s tough stance on border security. Among those detained were 22 notorious members of the Tren de Aragua gang and a convicted child rapist, underscoring the ongoing threat posed by criminal migrants.

Luis Felipe Duran-Hernandez, a Honduran national with a disturbing criminal history, was apprehended in Washington, DC. Duran-Hernandez had previously been convicted of raping a child under the age of 13 and illegally possessing a firearm. This was his fifth time being deported, yet he continued to return across the border. “This is the type of criminal we’re dealing with. Duran-Hernandez has been a threat to our communities, and now he’s back in custody,” said an anonymous law enforcement source.

Despite the severity of his crimes, details on his prior sentence for the child rape remain unclear. Duran-Hernandez is currently held by U.S. Marshals with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer, awaiting deportation.

In addition to him, federal agents seized nearly two dozen members of Tren de Aragua, a ruthless Venezuelan gang responsible for widespread violence across the U.S. One of these criminals, whose name has not been disclosed, was taken into custody in Chicago. The suspect had a deportation order pending at the time of his arrest, highlighting the dangers posed by sanctuary city policies.

John Fabbricatore, former chief of ICE’s Denver office, voiced his support for the operation, “President Trump promised to make America safe. This is the first wave of action to rid our streets of criminal illegal aliens who’ve been terrorizing American communities.”

A Nationwide Effort

ICE agents carried out operations across the country, resulting in 962 arrests in total. In Ventura, California, federal officers apprehended a member of the Mexican “Guerreros Unidos” gang, a criminal syndicate with deep roots in narcotics trafficking. This individual, who had been deported eight times and had two DUI convictions, was also taken into custody.

The sweep didn’t stop with arrests. A staggering 794 illegal migrants were deported on Wednesday, and an additional 860 detainers were filed to ensure that criminal migrants face swift deportation. With nearly 6,000 federal agents mobilized for this operation, nearly 6,500 arrests have been made since its inception, according to ICE sources.

The White House has placed heavy emphasis on these efforts, directing ICE to meet a daily quota of at least 75 arrests per office nationwide. Agents are also working around the clock, including weekends, to ensure maximum impact.

“The Worst of the Worst” Targeted

Tom Homan, Trump’s appointed “border czar,” emphasized that the focus of these raids is on the “worst of the worst” – approximately 700,000 criminal illegal immigrants who have evaded justice and put American lives at risk. ICE is making significant headway in this pursuit. Just last Sunday, 50 more Tren de Aragua gang members were arrested at an illegal nightclub in Denver, Colorado. These individuals had ties to the gang’s violent operations in the nearby suburb of Aurora, which has faced an ongoing terror campaign from the group.

In another high-profile bust, Tren de Aragua member Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, 25, was captured in New York City after fleeing Aurora, where he had been caught on surveillance video during a violent home invasion.

“Communities across the U.S. deserve safety, and we’re committed to making sure these criminals face justice,” said Homan.

The ongoing crackdown serves as a reminder of the stakes involved in securing the nation’s borders and the pressing need for continued vigilance against criminal elements exploiting the immigration system.

  2. So assuming 900 (and it was more) and a total of 23 criminals, that’s a total of 2.5% criminals! So how much did that cost and how many good, honest, working humans were grabbed?

  3. I\’s about time and overdue.  I am a conservative and believe that both political parties bear some fault with the democrats most of it.  What is wrong with enforcing the laws that have been on the books in a prompt andeffective manner regardless of party. A.B.M..

  4. WHAHOO ICE! Go get those wacko Venezuelan Gang members and drop kick their pathetic butts back to Mexico!! Keep up the AWESOME ILLEGAL GANG ROUND UPS for their last trip out of America!!

FYI: NOW Americans know that a democrat leader SUCKS because they do NOT research the outcome of their actions BEFORE making those actions!! Duh!

The WORST ACTION OF THE JB ADMINISTRATION: OPEN BORDERS allowing rapists; child traffickers; Drug Gangs smuggling fentanyl into our neighborhoods for young kids to take and overdose; murderers, etc.

You’d think that someone in JB’s administration would have done some research on this! Who? Harris? She’s the most worthless VP ever in our U.S. History!! Dems suck big time trying to be leaders! It’s just NOT IN THEIR DNA!!
