Meanwhile, Prince William’s recent interview with the Sunday Times, in which he claimed he would lead with more “empathy” and “do things differently,” came across as tone-deaf and performative. “William sounded like a pinhead,” Brown remarked, noting that his comments did little to lift the royal mood during such a turbulent time.
