A routine delivery turned into a disturbing scene in suburban New York when a U.S. Postal Service worker was caught on surveillance video allegedly knocking a 4-year-old boy to the ground during a brief sidewalk interaction.
The incident unfolded in broad daylight in Ramapo, a town in Rockland County, where the postal worker had stopped along his route. According to footage reviewed by authorities, the young boy approached the mail carrier, appearing to try to engage with him. Moments later, the situation escalated.
Video shows the worker forcefully pushing the child, sending him crashing to the pavement. The impact was strong enough to knock the boy’s yarmulke off his head. Despite the fall, the child quickly got back up, retrieved the cap, and hurried away from the scene.
