Baywatch Star Alexandra Paul Busted After Caught-on-Camera Beagle “Rescue” Raid at Controversial Lab Dog Facility
Alexandra Paul is back in the headlines — and this time, it ends in handcuffs.
The Baywatch actress was arrested in Wisconsin over the weekend after allegedly taking part in a filmed animal-rights operation where activists stormed a beagle breeding facility and carried dogs out in their arms.
Authorities say the 62-year-old star was among 20 protesters arrested for trespassing during the incident at Ridglan Farms in Blue Mounds, about 30 miles west of Madison.
Investigators said roughly 60 activists, dressed in white protective suits, were captured on video breaking into the facility early Sunday morning. Footage showed protesters clutching beagles tightly as they filed out.
A group calling itself the Coalition to Save the Ridglan Dogs claimed 31 dogs were taken during the operation.
But the Dane County Sheriff’s Office says it intercepted some of the animals — and not all have been recovered.
“Some of the beagles taken were recovered and returned to Ridglan Farms, but several beagles remain unaccounted for,” Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said.
Barrett added that two vehicles were seized at the scene, along with “burglary tools and other evidence.”
Ridglan Farms has drawn outrage in the past because it breeds beagles that are used in scientific research, according to local outlet WMTV. The facility has repeatedly been a target for animal-rights protests.
Still, the sheriff stressed that strong emotions don’t excuse breaking the law.
“The Dane County Sheriff’s Office understands how deeply people feel for the beagles at Ridglan Farms, and we respect their right to express that passion through peaceful protests,” Barrett said. “Our role is to keep everyone safe and to respond when unlawful activity takes place.”
He also urged concerned residents to pursue change through “lawful and constructive avenues.”
Paul is best known for playing Lt. Stephanie Holden on Baywatch from 1992 to 1997. In recent years, she’s become a familiar name in animal-rights circles — and has had other run-ins with the law.
In 2021, Paul faced a misdemeanor theft charge after taking two chickens from a Foster Farms truck in California. She was later found not guilty.
Now, she’s facing fresh legal trouble — tied to a bold, chaotic raid that left multiple dogs still missing and authorities promising a full investigation.
