Rosie O’Donnell is back in the political firestorm — and this time, the backlash is coming from all directions.
The comedian reignited her long-running feud with President Donald Trump after posting a defiant message about the growing Middle East crisis and U.S. military action involving Iran. O’Donnell has been one of several Hollywood voices speaking out, with other celebrities also taking aim at Trump’s leadership and the escalating tensions.
But it was Rosie’s latest Instagram post that really set people off.
In the upload, O’Donnell shared a photo of Winston Churchill alongside his famous wartime rallying cry: “We shall fight on the beaches… we shall never surrender.” She paired the quote with her own caption urging followers to “Save America,” adding hashtags that referenced the Epstein files and calls for arrest.
The response was immediate — and messy.
Some supporters applauded her tone, with commenters writing things like “Agreed, we must fight for our Democracy and never give up,” and “Amen.” But others pushed back hard, arguing that Churchill isn’t the figure to invoke when talking about war and power.
“Oh Rosie, you’re in Ireland now… Let’s not promote Churchill,” one person wrote, while another snapped that Churchill shouldn’t be anyone’s guiding light “for guidance on war or class struggles.”
And one commenter went even further, claiming Trump “could get us into WW3” and suggesting the renewed focus on war is tied to questions about his past associations — a reference that kept the comments section boiling.
The Churchill post wasn’t Rosie’s only shot this week, either.
Just days earlier, she resurfaced a batch of old Trump tweets from 2011 and 2012 — back when he accused then-President Barack Obama of potentially starting a war with Iran to help himself politically. O’Donnell posted the messages as “receipts,” pointing to what she framed as hypocrisy now that Trump is the one facing criticism over Iran-related military action.
Fans piled on in the comments.
“Rosie just out here with the receipts,” one person wrote. Another added, “I’m not even surprised anymore. We just want to be left out of it.” Others went the sarcastic route, mocking Trump as someone who “stops wars” better than anyone — “great wars, small wars, imaginary wars.”
As always, Rosie’s posts did what they usually do: energize her supporters, enrage her critics, and drag everyone else into yet another ugly internet brawl.
And if you thought that was the end of the chaos? It isn’t — the political drama continued elsewhere too, after a congressman reportedly gave Kristi Noem a humiliating gift amid her own scandal.
